As for towns of interest we are going to make a small selection of charming villages, most of the interior of Andalusia, that you could visit in a day trip from our charming rural hotel in Granada.
Fuente Vaqueros ( 20 minutes from the hotel)
This town stands out for being the place where Federico García Lorca was born. Therefore, if you are interested in the life of this great poet and writer from Granada, at Fuente Vaqueros you can visit the Casa Natal Federico García Lorca Museum.
Moclín (30 minutes from the hotel)
It is a very small town located 30 minutes from our rural hotel in Granada. It stands out for its castle built in the 13th century for the defense of the Nazari Kingdom of Granada and because it offers a beautiful hiking trail, the Gollizno Route, perfect for enjoying nature and the history of a place that had great historical importance in the time of Muslim settlement in the peninsula.
Alcalá la real (45 minutes from the hotel)
Belonging to the province of Jaén, this town houses the Fortaleza de la Mota, a castle that for more than 50 years marked the border between the kingdoms of Granada and Castile. In addition, its old town is declared of Cultural Interest.
Montefrío (40 minutes from the hotel)
This town surrounded by mountains and olive groves has become famous in recent years for having been considered one of the best views in the world by the prestigious National Geographic magazine.
Montefrío highlights its monumental complex and its various viewpoints from which you can see exceptional views of the town on one side and the mountains of the area and the vast olive groves on the other.
Priego de Córdoba (One hour from the hotel)
Belonging to the province of Córdoba and the “Route of the Caliphate” that runs through the towns between the provinces of Córdoba and Granada, Priego is a town located in the Subbética Range of Cordoba.
This, together with its cultural heritage and the fact of being at a crossroads between the provinces of Granada, Córdoba and Jaén, make Priego a place of interest both for the architecture of its quarters and its churches, its castle or the natural places that surround it.
Riofrío (45 minutes from the hotel)
This town is located on the border between the provinces of Granada and Malaga and its main attraction is that it is an important trout and sturgeon farm and therefore, a place to go to enjoy its cuisine in one of its restaurants specialized in this type of products.
Antequera (One hour and 10 minutes from the hotel)
Considered the center of Andalusia, Antequera is a town in Malaga with a great tourist attraction. Here you can find the Route of the Churches, the Alcazaba and the Collegiate Church of Santa María la Mayor, the Dolmens of Antequera and a natural beauty spot such as the Torcal de Antequera. To get to Antequera you have to pass through Riofrío, so it can be a good combination to mix culture with nature and gastronomy.

Located on the southern face of the Sierra Nevada, the Alpujarras of Granada are undoubtedly one of the most interesting natural sites in Andalusia and throughout Spain.
The architecture and height of its villages, its traditions and customs, its mineral-medicinal waters, its numerous hiking trails or its gastronomy are just some of the wonders that you can find here. Between its towns they emphasize Lanjarón, Órgiva and raising more up, the exceptional towns of the ravine of Poqueira considered historical-artistic set: Pampaneira, Capileira and Bubion.

If you are looking for beach, we are relatively close to the Mediterranean coast. The closest is the coast of Granada in places such as Motril, Salobreña or Almuñécar, which are 1 hour away.
But at 1 hour and a quarter we have other places of great beauty such as Nerja, Frigiliana or the same city of Malaga at 1 hour and a half.
